About kind of schools:

- How should it be according to the law:

There are three types of schools in Spain:

  1. Private, having, according to the owner, a certain educational model, and those parents who wish to that model for their children can choose if their family economy can afford it.
  2. The public, whose model is fixed on the basis of the provisions of the Ministry or Department of the moment, and is offered to all those citizens who wish to it, thus ensuring the right to education which covers the law.
  3. And Religious, which are created and directed by entities or organizations of different kinds and centres sustained with public funds but with a cost less than the public centers State. They are also created and maintained by institutions or religious orders.

- How is it really:

Nowadays, We can observe that there are three types of schools, but, Which we prefer?

We think that public schools have more advantages than private school. Also in private schools there are some advantages as the methodology that they can use. We think that in public schools there are more freedom and the relation between teachers , pupils and parents is better. The problem is the money that the Government give to them, we think that it is not enough.

It does not matter that one type is better that another, but we would like to improve the public one.

About moral values

- How should it be according to the law:

Another aspect which must treat the school are the moral values. The values are principles that allow us to guide our behavior. Are fundamental beliefs that help us to prefer, appreciate and choose some things in place of others, or a behavior in place of another. They reflect our interests, feelings and most important beliefs.

The education in values is one of great social and educational interest to the point of being present as a specific content in the school curriculum of all levels of education.

- How is it really:

It is true that we are in a period of crisis of values. Nowadays, it is very common the social insecurity. We can say, that to improve this situation, the school should promote moral values such as respect and collaboration. Not only the school must deal about values, they are also responsible, the parents and the society to disappear or diminish such social insecurity.

The school must provide to their students, some moral values such as respect, communication, cooperation, tolerance, empathy, etc.

About satisfaction at learning:

- How should it be according to the law:

Some of the factors for the improvement of the quality of education are: the training of teachers, educational programming, educational resources, educational innovation, educational orientation and evaluation of the education system.

The quality of education should be satisfactory for the teachers, students, families and for the management team. The satisfaction at learning, in our point of view should be present in all the schools. In this way, students would be much more motivated and would like to go to the school every day.

- How is it really:

In very few occasions we can find satisfaction at learning in the current school. The shortage of practical sessions and the increase of theoretical sessions have caused that children feel unmotivated in their learning process. Because of exams, students feel stressed in class.

In our opinion, the practical classes are a good method to develop the satisfaction at learning.

About competivity:

- How should it be according to the law:

All persons entering a stage of competitiveness. Young children begin a constant competition between them and this can cause some problems in his age. Competitiveness is good at these ages, but with certain precautions.

We think that the teacher must be careful and not generate too many competitiveness in his students. The competitiveness can go so far as to produce stress or dissatisfaction.

- How is it really:

The competitiveness is not bad in itself, therefore we develop it from very small.

We believe that the competitiveness between children and their problems should not reach the disadvantages that occur between the adults as let to speak by spaces of time or that they measure to blows, competition must help children to be better every day, but accepting that you can also win the little buddy and respecting all alike.

There are many parents who have lack of interest in competitiveness that demonstrate their children, but under our point of view, they should be involved in this aspect as much as in the other.

About relationships:

- How should it be according to the law:

Something essential in education, is the relationship between teachers and families. This relationship directly affects the child's learning. To improve this relationship must exist a continuous communication and not only in bad situations.

The teacher must help, guide and learn from parents. The same thing happens in the other direction. This relationship is more common in early childhood education and as children grow is losing.

In our opinion, a good relation is essential for the development of the children. Communication is a key for the learning.

- How is it really:

The parent-teacher relationship is something vital in the education of children. You can help avoid problems or improve some aspects. We have seen that this relationship does not exist during elementary and is one of the aspects that should be improved.

Although this relationship is important, the relationship between parents and children is even more. Parents should show interest for their children and for what they do. They should ask every day how was their day and how they feel. We believe that we must improve this link.

On the other hand should also attend the relationships in the classroom, because they will support your child during much of his life.

The current school: SYSTEM'S ORGANIZATION.

About teaching methods:

- How should it be according to the law:

The teaching methodology will move to the general development of the student, integrating their different experiences and learning. The teaching will be personal and will be adapted to the different rhythms of each child's learning.

- How is it really:

There are some teachers that really do that, but not the most. Most teachers teach similar to everyone, and in our opinion it is a mistake because nobody seems to another. Every child has his own rithm of learning and it is important to adapt the lesson.

From our point of view the best teaching method is the individual. An open-minded method, that includes children’s ideas.
